Office of the Assistant to the President for Community Engagement & Inclusion

About the Office

At MTSU, we believe that community engagement is the cornerstone of a thriving, dynamic, and inclusive institution. By working collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners, we aim to foster meaningful experiences that enrich the campus experience and extend beyond its borders.

Our team is dedicated to cultivating a campus environment where every member of the MTSU family feels a genuine sense of belonging, where each is empowered to be actively engaged in their community and fully immerse themselves in this shared experience to make it transformational rather than transactional.

Community Engagement Advisory Group

To ensure opportunities for all MTSU students, we seek to continue to make this campus safe and welcoming to our students and employees. The Community Engagement Advisory Group was established as a university-wide committee to support efforts in reaching the goals of having an inclusive and engaged campus. The Advisory Group targets four areas: campus climate, curriculum, campus workforce, and community engagement.
